As you know, we launched the Gropes online shop back in June this year and marked the occasion with a gathering held at Family Tree. The evening was a great one, although it seems like a lifetime ago now. We had fun and prizes and there was even the odd free drink floating about. Best of all though, we met lots of people who share similar passions to ours and it was such a great opportunity for us just to say hi. We couldn’t have thrown the Gropes launch party at a better place and 22nd June 2011 will go down as a momentous day in Nonusual history.
Now, we’re very fond of our friends at Family Tree and on the 25th August they are about to become all grown up by turning 7. They’re having a little birthday bash (no less than we’d expect) and they will, of course, be celebrating in style.
Always up for a bit of a shindig (them, and us) we’re delighted to share with you news of a great event that’s taking place. Momosan Bar has been infusing seasonal fruits for the last couple of months and she’d love for you to come along and celebrate with a bottle of her home-made brew on this special night. Family Tree has designed special Japanese paper print brooches for the event and all the profits made from the sales of drinks and brooches will be donated to the“Fair Trade Tohoku” charity who work to help those who lost their homes after the tsunami that hit back in March.
It promises to be a great evening, we love any excuse for a get-together and can’t stress enough our support for the charity of the night.
